Paleo Twix Bars
This recipe may seem like a lot of work, but it’s actually easy to make and so worth it! These bars really do taste like Twix, but with real ingredients and no refined sugar. Give it a try and see for yourself!

Shortbread Layer
- 1 cup almond flour
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
Caramel Layer
- ½ cup creamy almond butter
- ¼ cup coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- Pinch of sea salt
Chocolate Layer
- 2.8 ounce paleo dark chocolate bar
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- Flakey sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment paper.
- Stir together the shortbread ingredients and add to the baking dish, pressing down into an even layer. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool.
- Stir together the ingredients for the caramel layer. Once the shortbread has cooled, pour the caramel over top and smooth down with a rubber spatula. Place in the freezer to set for about 20 minutes.
- Heat the dark chocolate and coconut oil together in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring in between, until melted.
- Pour the dark chocolate over the caramel and smooth into an even layer. Top with flakey sea salt and freeze again for 10-15 minutes.
- Slice into bars and enjoy!
