Description

If you usually eat your salmon plain, this recipe is a great way to switch things up. The sesame seeds make a delicious crispy crust and coconut aminos are used as a healthy alternative to soy sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 wild sockeye salmon filets
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • ¼ cup coconut aminos
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Rinse your salmon filets and pat dry.
  2. Stir together the garlic, ginger, coconut aminos, honey, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper. Place the salmon in a dish or bowl and pour the sauce over top. Use tongs to turn the salmon over a few times in the sauce, then cover and marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Spread the sesame seeds on a plate and press the tops of the salmon filets into the seeds. Place on a parchment lined baking sheet and drizzle with remaining sauce.
  4. Bake for 10-14 minutes depending on thickness of the salmon. Serve with veggies
